Frank Hartmann created SquareDirection to provide an advisory based approach to acquiring office space in Central Texas. Creating a strategic focus as a multi-disciplined Tenant Representative, Frank challenges conventional thinking to help companies redefine their workplace requirements in Austin, Texas.
Since relocating his family from Chicago, Illinois, Frank has developed key relationships within Austin’s corporate real estate community to help companies navigate the office space market.
Projects have included a North American headquarters lease for a European based technology company, a headquarter relocation lease for a Chicago based financial company, multiple office building acquisitions on behalf a San Francisco based investor, an office lease recast for a New York based telecommunications services company, a specialized lab space lease for startup company from the University of Texas and multiple office and industrial related office leasing assignments.
Combining his 20 years of Tenant Representation experience with an Executive MBA, Frank goes beyond the traditional brokerage model to help companies unlock new and creative opportunities through site selection, project budget and schedule, lease negotiations and move-in.
Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois, grew up northwest of Chicago and graduated from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Loyola University of Chicago with an MBA and degrees in Economics and Political Science. He lives in Central Austin with his wife Jennifer, and their two daughters, Laila and Audrey.
